Katie Christensen joined the University of South Carolina academic services unit as an academic advisor for football in October 2016. Christensen, a member of the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics, came to South Carolina after a 3.5-year-long stint as an academic counselor for football at the University of Illinois.
A native of Lakeview, Mich., Christensen earned her bachelor’s degree in sport studies & psychology from Central Michigan University, where she also obtained a master’s in sport administration. During her time as a Chippewa, Christensen competed as a member of the track and field team, throwing the weight and the discus while serving as a team captain for two years.
